DARBAR 2020 Rajinikanth movie Trailer:
"I am a bad cop!" hums Superstar Rajinikanth in his role as Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Aadhithya Arunachalam, as he does a swag jig at the end of the first official Darbar trailer. But you don't care about his morals in that moment; you're just glad that Thalaivar is back to playing a supercop after 25 years. And, if it was possible, he has only gotten more stylish. What's more, he is facing off against an equally stylish villain, Suniel Shetty, who makes his debut in South.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Darbar seems to be a cop action drama à la Dabangg or Simmba, where the cop has questionable morals but a good heart, which ultimately puts him on odds with the bad guy. While that sounds like the usual drill with cop movies, what'll probably set this one apart will be Rajinikanth's indomitable swagger and return to the khaki uniform. The film also had an impressive cast—Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, Dalip Tahil, Prateik Babbar, Soori, Harish Uthaman, Jeeva, Manobala, Suman, Anandaraj, Rao Ramesh, Bose Venkat, Prakash Raj and Nawab Shah. Cricketer Yuvraj Singh's father Yogiraj Singh and Sacred Games' Bunty, Jatin Sarna will also be playing special roles in the film.
Along with the original Tamil version, Darbar will also be released in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. The film's motion poster was released by the superstars of each industry—the Tamil and Telugu ones were unveiled by Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal unveiled the Malayalam one and Salman Khan, the Hindi one.
